ABOUT US

Parlante was formed with two offices in 1992. The principals at that time included Hugh Mullane in Auckland and Walter Kooznetzoff & Chris Bramely in Wellington. In 1993, Chris Brown of Christchurch added his practice to the group. In April 2003, David Frost joined the Parlante Auckland office as a full partner.

Since its formation Parlante has completed designs for a wide range of projects including office buildings, office fit-outs, bars & restaurants, private homes, apartment buildings, terrace house developments, retail stores and hotels.

Parlante chooses to not specialise in one area of architectural design, preferring instead to work with clients in the development of a clearly defined brief that allows for commercial yet innovative design solutions.

Recent and/or current projects include the award winning Prime Bistro, Best Awards finalist Soul Bar & Bistro along with Harmos Horton Lusk, The Kingsland Apartments, Augusta Apartments, Oceania & Eastern Building, Clendon Feeney, Eves Pantry and the historic Blacketts Building to identify but a few.

There are many completed projects throughout New Zealand designed by Parlante that are often admired but are not necessarily or immediately attributed as being Parlante work. This is generally because Parlante looks to design solutions appropriate for each client. The results speak volumes about the commitment Parlante brings to the work it does. This is also bourn out by the number of repeat clients the three offices enjoy
