Client Brief To design a new store in a new location that will encompass all the good attributes of the current store, while introducing new elements to improve, expand and freshen the concept.

Parlante Solution Retaining the old brick and concrete interior of the historic building where the new shop was to be located, and contrasting it with contemporary internally lit timber display cases, retains a sense of continuity with the client’s company’s past while emphasising the nature of the current jewellery design work. The workshop is visible from the store area, so the design reflects the company name and concept as a manufacturing jeweller. To reinforce the personal service aspect of the business, a low seating and desk area for client consultation was included in the planning and fit-out.
